Yampa Canyon
Dinosaur National Monument (4 & 5-day)

Yampa Canyon trips meet and return to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The untamed Yampa River is the last of the wild ones! The Yampa is the last free-flowing river in the entire Colorado River System. When the Yampa is running, the whole Colorado Plateau is alive with whitewater. See the remote and untouched headwaters of the Colorado River system and ride the crest of one of the best river trips in the world. The water level depends completely on run-off from the Rocky Mountain snowmelt during the first part of summer. These famous waters are compressed between towering canyon walls creating unforgettable rapids including "Tepee", "Big Joe", and "Warm Springs". While the Yampa River is noted for its whitewater, it also offers family-friendly calm stretches that meander through the pristine high-altitude landscape, with abundant wildlife and overnights at scenic campsites. Inflatable kayaks, also called "Duckies", are always a part of this very special whitewater run.
