Fishing Trips

Fly fish the "Gold Medal" waters of the Roaring Fork, Colorado or Frying Pan rivers. Brown and Rainbow trout are the predominant species and strong fighting fish 16-20 inches are common. These rivers all have great hatches of mayflies, stones, hoppers and caddis through the summer months.

Hunting

With nearly 300,000 acres of hunting lands in our permit areas, we are able to guide highly successful hunts for Elk, Mule Deer, Pronghorn, Desert Bighorn sheep and Rio Grande turkey. If you have ever wanted to hunt that giant "wall hanger" or just put some great tasting meat in the freezer, we have the hunt for you. Western Colorado is home to the largest Elk herds and the best mule deer numbers and genetics in the world.

River Rafting Trips

River rafting trips  begin with hotel pick up and a short drive to the launch point. After an orientation and safety briefing we push off heading down river into the spectacular canyon landscape. Most days will include a hiking stop to visit an archeological, historic or geologic site. Camps are wilderness style and comfortable at the same time. Hand wash, dish wash, trash and toilet systems are carried on all trips. We offer a variety of river craft on our trips, large rafts for those who would like the guide to run the boat, and inflatable kayaks (aka "Duckies") for those who want to captain their own craft. With the guides instruction these "Duckies" allow many 1st time rafters the opportunity to run their own boat while still being fully supported.

Hiking Trips

The canyons of the the Black Ridge Wilderness Area offer a pristine back country experience. These remote desert canyons with sandstone arches, deep alcoves, native American rock art and breathtaking views will leave you wishing you had planned another day or two in your vacation. In addition to leading your group on the hike, our naturalist guides are great interpreters sharing their knowledge and stories about local flora, fauna and history. Day hikers are returned to their hotels in the evening. Multi-day hiking trips return to a base tent camp each evening.
